France captain Kylian Mbappe has officially received the Golden Boot award he won at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Mbappe confirmed this on his Instagram page on Thursday.
The 27-year-old scored 10 goals in eight matches.
He achieved the feat by scoring twice in France’s 6-4 defeat to England in the third-place play-off.
This saw Mbappe make history by becoming the first men’s player to win the tournament’s Golden Boot award in consecutive editions.
The Real Madrid forward also became the first player to hit double figures in a single men’s World Cup since West Germany’s Gerd Müller in 1970.
Mbappe will be hoping that this helps his quest to win the Ballon d’Or award later this month.
